I kinda like…wanna smell like a boy…I think…Penhaligons Endymion

I’m not a perfume girl…I mean, yeah, I want to smell good, but it’s usually an afterthought more than a distinct part of my routine. Kind of an “Oh hell, I need some sniffgood on” as I grab something and kind of haphazardly spray it all over the place.
Now that you know way too much about my personal grooming habits, I have something else to overshare…lately I’ve been leaning toward more ‘masculine’ or androgynous scents. Husband has a cologne…I think it’s like…Polo Blue or something like that…and I keep grabbing at it. I also love the scent of his shave gel and I keep ganking the Axe body spray.
I still like the feminine scents, and my favorite smell of all time IS sugar and lemon, but here lately, I’ve been wanting something a bit more ‘dominant’. I think, my ultimate “I’M GOING FOR THIS” fragrance right now is Endymion, by Penhaligons.
Head Notes
Bergamot, Mandarin, Lavender and SageHeart Notes
Geranium and Coffee AbsoluteBase Notes
Vetiver, Nutmeg, Black pepper, Cardamom, Musk, Leather, Sandalwood, Incense, Frankincense and Myrrh
I’m no perfume or fragrance expert, by any stretch of the imagination, but this particular scent smells…powerful. Musk. Leather. Black pepper. Sandalwood. It all smells like a very sexy…powerful…I don’t know…just dominant…combination. I wore Endymion a few weeks ago, and as I walked past Mr. Shimmer his eyes narrowed just a bit and he asked, “What are you wearing?” with a bit of a growl.
Me likey.
Do you guys ever pull a switch like that, and kind of break out of the girly sweet scents into something more dominant and sensual?

Definitely! I think that’s why I love MAC MV3 so much- it’s sort of masculine but sort of feminine at the same time. It has an edge to it!

I love the edge.
My body chemistry naturally ’sweetens’ any scent I wear, and if something is too frilly, it’ll go nauseatingly sweet when I wear it, so the more masculine designed scents seem to fit that particular need in my life nicely.

Everyone of my perfumes has Bergamot as a topnote. It’s one of the things that is me.. I don’t go for the floral scents at all…
