Thanks to all of you who joined us Sunday night, whether you tuned in, chatted or called in. We are enjoying having this new form of contact with you guys. If you didn’t get a chance to join us, you can listen archived episodes at Specktra on BlogTalkRadio or download it as a podcast to listen to at your leisure. The profile page is also where future shows are streamed live from. You do not need to register to listen, but if you do register, you can set show reminders, participate in the live-time chat that runs concurrently with the radio show, add Glam Soup as a friend, and mark us as a favorite show!

We talked about the jaw-dropping, lemming-inspiring swatches that erine1881 had posted for Cool Heat (see post #290) and for Neo Sci Fi (see post #582). Additionally, thelove4tequila posted a great pic of the Solar Bits (see post#621) that will be released with the Solar Field collection. If you haven’t had a chance to peep those, definitely check them out.

We all talked about our 3 fave products at the moment.

Janice:

1. Stila’s Major Major Lash at Stilacosmetics.com ($22.00)

This mascara got props from Janice and Jamie, so I definitely recommend lashing those lashes with this find.

2. Shu Uemura’s Rouge Unlimited Crystal Shine Lipstick at Nordstroms.com ($23.00)

Janice loves the incredible shine these give. She says they are similar to MAC’s lustres. I have to agree on these. The feel so soft on the lips and give a blush of colour with a twinkle of sparkle. Great for Spring/Summer.

3. Juice Beauty’s Exfoliating Cleanser at Sephora.com ($22.00)

Janice mentioned that these are organic, paraben-free and great for gals with sensitive or problematic skin. She has seen great results from using this cleanser.

Sephora describes this product as a unique exfoliating cream to effectively remove dulling dead skin cells, polish and energize the skin. Tiny jojoba beads slough without irritation, while elderflower and shea butter soothe the freshly revealed, glowing skin. Pure, certified organic essential oils of rose, neroli, and sweet orange invigorate and uplift. Great for sensitive skin

Jamie:

1. Another vote for Stila’s Major Major Lash!

2. WATER! Yes, you read that right. Something as simple as drinking water keeps your skin and body looking and feeling great. Jamie recommends Smart Water, which is electrolyte enhanced and found at most grocery stores.

3. Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Self-Heating Oil from CVS.com ($6.99)

Why we love it - It’s healing, moisturizing, and nourishing. It adds extra moisture and balance. Why you want it - This healing blend of organic active ingredients is all you need for moist, smooth and seductive hair in one irresistible formula. What’s in it for you - Weightless coconut oil and organic coconut milk heals and replenishes your hair with ultra whipped egg white proteins for hydration and balance. Sulfate free. Self heating. Not tested on animals.
By the way, Jamie also gave the secret behind her super striking hair colour. Curious about what colour she uses? Take a listen to the show for details. ;)

Jen:

1. Guerlain’s Terracotta Pearly Powder from Nordstroms.com ($57.00)

This gives a great glow with a hint of bronze. It is a lot like an MSF, as a matter of fact. Worth every penny. I have Orient Sun, which is a medium tan with rose undertones. Two other colours are available.

2. Vincent Longo’s Vibrant Eye Waterproof Liquid Liners at Beauty.com ($18.00)

I love these for their pigmentation, staying power (waterproof = good thing in the summer time) and their vivid colours (white, deep red, cerulean blue, kelly green and vivid yellow).

3. Kevin Aucoin’s The Moist Creamy Glow Cream Blushes (I know, horrible name, right?) at Beauty.com ($24.00)

A drier cream blush, this allows you to successfully navigate that fine line between dewy and oily to acheive a perfect summer flush. The above shown colour is Liquifuschia.

We also heard all about the inception and evolution of Specktra, as well as where Specktra got it’s name (Hint: It isn’t named after the MAC Lipglass Stain called Spectra Peach). Curious? Well you’ll just have to listen the the show. ;)

Again, to those of you who tuned in, we hope you enjoyed it. For those of you who participated in the Chat, we hope you enjoyed the kilt pics. :D For those of you who didn’t get a chance to join us, we hope to see you next Sunday on BlogTalkRadio at 7pm PST / 8pm MST / 9pm CST / 10pm EST!
