Prescriptives Super Line Preventer Xtreme - My miracle in a bottle…

Super Line Preventor Xtreme helps strengthen skin and boost its natural defenses by helping skin bolster its collagen production to improve visible skin tone, radiance and diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

I picked Super Line Preventer Xtreme up from Macy’s back in the beginning of April…I admit a fair bit of hesitancy to buy it because of the price tag (for a 1 oz. bottle…$48, for a 1.7 oz. bottle $76) but Ellen, a lovely and talented young lady working at the Prescriptives counter at Macy’s in the North Park Mall in Dallas, assured me it was worth every cent. Ellen told me it’s designed to protect skin from free radical damage and to correct the appearance of lines and wrinkles while improving firmness, radiance, and hydration.

She’s so right.

After cleansing using my Biore Ice Cleanser and Triple Action Astringent, I put three drops of Super Line Preventer Xtreme on my face, one on each cheek and one in the middle of my forehead, and massage it in gently. Then I moisturize using Clinique Moisture Surge, and go about my business…whether it’s bed or makeup.

My skin feels better, looks smoother and more hydrated, and feels firmer after just four weeks. No kidding. It’s not heavy, nor is it greasy feeling…I use it twice a day (though I admit, these past few days, I’ve been a bum, trying to do my beauty routine one armed is a bit difficult) and I’ve seen rapid results.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to protect their skin from daily damage while working to correct damage that’s been done.  It’s fit for all skin types, sensitive to not so sensitive, and it works.

Two thumbs…WAY up for this one ladies.  You can go to a Prescriptives counter in your local department store, or shop online at Prescriptives.com!

C. O. Bigelow Lemon Body Cream - deliciousness in a jar!!

Since 1870, the Bigelow Apothecary has had this particular product bookmarked as a ‘favorite’, and now that I’m familiar with the product, I understand why.
It’s hand made, super soft, super smooth, super creamy, and just…dreamy. Fragrance free (scent comes from the essential oils used in the formulary), no artificial colors (color comes from the same place as the scent), and not tested on animal…this stuff is just about as Honest, Genuine, and Trustworthy as body cream can get.

I put this stuff on after a shower, while I’m relaxing watching TV, and just massage it in all over. It’s smells great, and after the smell from the oils wears away, you’re left smelling…clean. Just clean.

After having met with Ian and heard the passion he puts into creating products for the COB line, I’m completely comfortable knowing I’m using a good quality product at a reasonable price that has been tried and tested through years and years of happy customers!

So…another product I cheerfully recommend to anyone looking for a good moisturizer…C.O. Bigelow’s Lemon Body Cream!

Greens, bumps, and bruises…& swatches

Flourishing really is one of my favorite grubby green eye shadows. It’s just warm enough to really pop against my blue eyes, heavily pigmented, and not too bright for ‘everyday’ wear in summertime in Texas.

Yesterday, to make my little trip to urgent care, I had to put on makeup before we left (Hey. Don’t judge me. I have priorities.) so I went for something really simple and put Flourishing over Moss Scape paintpot. Holy smokes I didn’t know that was going to be such a hot smoky look!

But, this is Monday’s FOTD, not Sunday’s…so…today I used (click the jump for more pics and a product listing, plus swatches!):

Working on week two of the Biore Breakout Challenge!!

Sooooo a week and a half ago, I started the Biore Breakout Challenge…two weeks of using Biore products to clarify my skin. I have been using the Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser and the Triple Action Astringent…and MAN this stuff is really nice! I’m talking…it stopped even my ‘monthly’ breakout!

Description:

Give blemishes the cold shoulder. Now with lavender to soothe and calm skin and eucalyptus to stimulate and purify, this oil-free formula cleans deeply and guards against blemishes, leaving skin clean and refreshed.

Description:

Go for a clean sweep. Oil-free formula with salicylic acid unclogs and tightens pores as it reduces surface shine to help prevent blemishes and blackheads. Mild enough to use daily.

I love the way the Ice Cleanser feels when I wash my face in the shower. I just feel refreshed and clean and…I love the cool, ‘icy’ feeling it gives me. After I’m out of the shower, I use the Triple Action Astringent on a cotton pad and finish my cleansing routine…this stuff removes dirt I didn’t know I had! WOW! I won’t share the gory details but suffice it to say that it’s pretty thorough.

Have you guys taken the Biore Breakout Challenge? Do you use either of these products? Lemme know what you think!
